So, is annual travel insurance for you? Answer the following questions. If you answer yes to any of the questions, you should look into obtaining annual travel insurance.

• Do you take several, short family holidays throughout the year instead of one long holiday?

• Do you travel extensively with your job?

• Do you visit out-of-town friends and family often?

• Do you own a holiday home that you plan to spend a lot of time at?

• Do you have ageing or ill family members that might not be able to complete a short trip?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you should investigate annual travel insurance further. An annual policy may end up saving you money, but only if you spend a lot of time on the road. If you travel more than a handful of times each year, you should probably purchase annual insurance rather than trip insurance. However, if you only travel two to three times per year, you might want to compare prices before you make your final decision.

As we grow older, traveling becomes a bit scary. We worry on the possibilities that things may go wrong and we may not able to survive from it. The medical condition is also a big factor that’s why majority would rather lay in bed to rest than to go out and see the beauty of the world.

You must keep in mind that when you are travelling using a student insurance, it will have a different benefit and exclusion so don’t expect it to have the same with your parents. It is important that you identify the right plan that can cover the things that need to be covered. You must buy an international insurance plan if you are residing outside Canada or United states.

Students purchasing a regular student travel insurance needs to pay a monthly insurance premium and provide a deductible. Most of these plans cover a medical portion which means that a co-payment will be possibly included.

When you’re flight is delayed or cancelled, you could not blame your airliner immediately. If bad weather is the cause of these, the airlines will refund your ticket but they wouldn’t be held liable for any inconvenience you have endured since it’s beyond their control.

Airlines are not required to compensate for flights which are delayed and canceled due to bad weather or other conditions which they have no control over. Compensation will be done when you are bumped from an oversold flight. If your plane is delayed, you could ask for the airline to pay for your meals and a phone call.
